The main workshop space provides plenty of room for up to 30 students to work at ease. All workshop spaces are open: Mon - Thurs: 10am-10pm Fri: 10am-7pm Sat: 10am-4pm

This computer-aided environment provides bookable slots to use laser cutting and 3D printing techniques. With the latest technology, BCU are able to provide new systems for students to test.

Metal Workshop

This space, within the main workshop, is dedicated to working with a variety of metals. There are metal bending, forming and cutting machinery here, with expert staff on hand.

Welding Bay

Welding Bay

This space allows students and staff to explore the many varieties of welding available, including; brazing, spot-welding, MIG and TIG welding and plasma cutting.

Spray Booth

Spray Booth

Prepare to be cold, in this well ventilated space, allowing students to spray models and prototypes to high quality finishes.

Ceramics Studio

With dedicated staff to assist, this room allows students to explore the use of an alternative medium, including the use of turning.

Plaster Studio

This open table working space provides the ability to work with another material, and explore more processes. All workshop spaces have an induction programme and staff are always on hand to assist.

Kiln Room

Kiln Room

Glass is another material used throughout exploration processes at BCU. This room allows students to fire glass and ceramics at specific temperatures, dependent on your individual needs.
