AMY WALSH
Name: Amy Walsh
Age: 19
Course: Level 4 Interior Design
Skills: baking, knitting, AutoCAD and Photoshop
About: Hello I'm Amy and i'm a 1st year Interior Design student. I really loved Product Design and Textiles at A Level so decided to combine them and do Interior Design at BCU as I am particularly interested in exploring the different atmospheres and feelings design can create.
I chose to do interior design at Birmingham City University because it is one of the few universities who take it seriously and have dedicated the first year to teaching us the skills such as different types of drawing style (one-point, two-point, isometric, axonometric), rendering, AutoCAD, Photoshop and learning the design process from Concept Boards to Material Boards to technical CAD drawings as well as much more.
Birmingham is a really great place to be a student as it is a young busy city with lots to do and lots of students! The university has links with designers in industry so we are always able to get an insight into the real profession.
